J.D. Byrider hires vice president of store operations
CARMEL, Ind. – J.D. Byrider, America’s largest used car and franchise finance company, has hired Todd R. Gunderson as vice president of store operations. Gunderson is responsible for advancing top-line revenue and net profit, and he manages all aspects of J.D. Byrider’s 13 company-owned locations, including sales, underwriting and risk management, collections, service and inventory management.
“Our company locations are J.D. Byrider’s flagship stores, and Todd will play an important role in ensuring the 13 locations are performing at their peak,” said Bill Brunner, chief financial officer, J.D. Byrider, Inc. “We will put Todd’s experience in managing large sales teams in the area of subprime auto financing to use in managing those locations.”
Prior to J.D. Byrider, Gunderson spent 15 years with Wells Fargo and Company, where he was most recently a senior vice president of credit operations and directed five regional vice presidents in support of 700 employees in six operation centers. He oversaw the pricing, underwriting, marketing and selling of subprime auto loan products for a $25 billion portfolio. Prior to that, he was a division vice president in indirect auto sales at Wells Fargo, where he oversaw nine regional managers in support of 110 staff members. Other former positions at Wells Fargo included assistant vice president of indirect credit operations and area manager/branch manager.
